
In March of 2020, Toni (they/them) merged their independent business- In Your Boots Fitness- with Generate Fitness to found Action Potential Fitness.
Bringing over a decade of experience to the field, Toni is nationally-recognized leader in fitness inclusion and accessibility with a particular expertise in Queer, Intersex, and Transgender populations. In 2024, Toni was named one of Canada's Top Fitness Trainers by Impact Magazine and has been featured in multiple articles, podcasts, and news stories across the country.
Toni is also the co-founder and Programs Director for the Centre for Trauma Informed Fitness.
Toni entered the fitness world as the single parent of two young children. Having undertaken a significant life transformation bolstered by falling in love with the healing power of physical activity, Toni was committed to fostering greater inclusion and accessibility for under-served populations and began catering primarily to older adults, individuals living with chronic illness, pain, or disabilities, and the 2SLGTBIA+ community.
Toni’s professional growth has continued to parallel their personal growth, leading them to spearheading multiple initiatives dedicated to supporting others recovering from Trauma, undergoing life transitions- including gender affirmation- or simply looking to reconnect with their bodies and move with joy, ease and comfort.
Passionate about biomechanics and pain management, Toni specializes primarily in working with those presenting with complex needs who require additional support and expertise to move with confidence.
