Action Potential Fitness is an independent health studio located in the heart of West Edmonton’s Industrial District. Just off the intersection of 170 Street and 107 Avenue, it’s easily accessible via Yellowhead Trail, Stony Plain Road, Anthony Henday Drive, and Whitemud Drive—just minutes from West Edmonton Mall. In addition to our local community, we proudly serve clients virtually across the country, offering inclusive, trauma-informed, and personalized health and fitness services to people wherever they are.
Action Potential Fitness was founded in March 2020, right at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, through the merger of two grassroots fitness companies—Generate Fitness (Zita Dube-Lockhart, she/they) and In Your Boots Fitness (Toni Harris, they/them). Zita and Toni first met in 2016 while completing the Personal Fitness Trainer program at NAIT, where they were quickly dubbed a “dream team” by instructors.
While the world slowed to a halt, they got to work—finding creative ways to keep their clients moving and their passion alive. The result: Action Potential Fitness, a collaborative venture built on the belief that everything is better when we do it together. Within two years, it became one of Edmonton’s leading personal training and group fitness studios.
In an industry driven by competition, APF stands apart. As true partners, Toni and Zita co-create every element of the business—from program design to client care—blending their unique perspectives to deliver trauma-informed, inclusive, and whole-person health experiences for every client, both in-person and virtually across Canada.
What sets us apart isn’t just how we train—it’s why we train. our values shape every interaction, creating a fitness experience that puts people before performance.
